Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team

Our team has a long history of investing in young riders and searching for the stars of tomorrow. Between 2013 and 2016, we did this with the Klein Constantia U23 squad, which served as a feeder team, helping many riders find their way in the sport and making the step to the pro ranks.

Among those who graduated the program are Julian Alaphilippe – a two-time World Champion and multiple Tour de France stage winner – Rémi Cavagna, Jan Hirt and Florian Sénéchal, riders who between them have scored dozens of victories for the Wolfpack, but also the likes of Enric Mas or Maximilian Schachmann, who took important wins for us in some of the biggest races on the calendar, like the Giro or the Vuelta.

Now, entering our 21st season, we will again have a feeder squad, Soudal – Quick-Step Devo Team. Comprising fourteen riders coming from four countries – Austria, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands – this new team has the task of identifying young talent and bringing them into a structure that allows them to develop and flourish, with the aim of providing a sustainable stream of cycling talents to feed into the World Tour Team.

By joining the squad, the young riders are exposed to what it is like working in a team infrastructure and environment similar to that of the World Tour team early in their careers, and experience the Wolfpack spirit and family feeling, and therefore better prepare them for when it is time to move up to the senior ranks.
